Don’t you just hate being bogged to the eyeballs.

    Some great photos Rede.

Hello. I live in Finland and I was travelling around Australia a few years ago and I drove past a village called Likkaparta. Do you or anyone know the history about the name? Because Likkaparta means “young woman with beard” in finnish. :)

      Hello Anders
We loved your story on Likkaparte, and have been on track for the meaning of the word. Unfortunately, no one can tell us what it means. All my contacts enjoyed your description of the word. I will keep hunting for the Aboriginal meaning and let you know when I have the answer. Our connection to Finland is as agents for Kemppi welders, and a Finnish sister-in-law (living in the UK). Take care & kind regards. Rede and Renee
